Following a rousing lecture in 2009 by poet Kay Ryan about the importance of community colleges, I finished my Bachelor’s Degree, earned a Master of Fine Arts from Oregon State University, and now teach here at LBCC.  

I'm the author of two novels,  Pretty Is As Pretty Does (2001), and Twenty Questions (2006). I’ve published  a number of short stories and essays and have written a screenplay.
