About Me

I’ve always loved school.  Maybe that’s why I’m still here!

I completed a BA in English Education and an MA in Interdisciplinary Studies at Oregon State University.  Since then, I’ve done post-Master’s work in Composition, Communication, and Education at Oregon State University, Western Oregon University, Lewis and Clark College, and George Fox University.

Fall 2017 begins my 30th year in formal classrooms.  This is my 20th year at LBCC, and I spent 10 years in public and private high schools.  I've also taught Lamaze Prepared Childbirth, skin care, and community children's classes.

Since I believe that we learn best when we are fully engaged, I'm an advocate of "active learning."  That means that we do a lot of small group activities combined with bigger group work. We really can learn from one another.
