About Me I have a B.A. in Comparative Literature from Smith College in Massachusetts and a Masters in English from the University of Oregon. In 2003, I started teaching night classes at Portland Community College, where my classes ranged from three to five hours a session. For this reason my teaching style focuses on active class activities. My professional specialities are technical and business writing, but I am also an avid creative writer. My first book is represented by the same literary agent who represents President Obama. I advise the Gay Straight Alliance, volunteer with the ROV club, and serve as a board member for Luther House Campus Ministry at OSU. I grew up in Corvallis, and I love the Willamette Valley. In my free time I like to write, garden, play with my dog, and spend time with my family. Please feel free to contact me for any support I can offer you to help you meet your academic goals.
