Lewis Franklin

Program Chair, Visual Communications

Lewis is a graduate of Corvallis High School and has lived within the Linn-Benton region for a good share of his life.He graduated from Linn-Benton in 1995 with an AAS in Graphic Communications and an AS in Fine Art. His BS in Graphic Design is from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and his MA in Graphic Design & Digital Media is from the Academy of Art University of San Fransisco. He has worked for several design firms and spent several years with Diamond Multimedia (Supra / S3). He is a freelance designer and Macintosh consultant when not busy with his work here at Linn-Benton, Lewis has been teaching in the Graphics field since the Fall of 1996 when he started work at Chemeketa Community College as adjunct faculty. Lewis came home to Linn-Benton in the fall of 2001 when a full-time position within the Digital Imaging and Pre-press Technology program was opened.

Lewis is the primary adviser for the Visual Communications and is a retired 1SG with the Oregon Army National Guard where he served two tours in Iraq and was deployed to Hurricane Katrina.
