PLEASE NOTE: Hailey is on maternity leave during the Winter 2020 term and will not be checking email regularly. If you need to get in contact with someone from the Communication Department, please email Mark Urista (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Hailey earned her BS from James Madison University and MA in Communication from North Dakota State University. She served two years as an AmeriCorps VISTA, which sparked her passion to give back to, and advocate alongside, underserved populations.
Prior to joining LBCC, Hailey spent seven years working in student affairs where she taught public speaking and social justice-focused leadership courses and workshops.
Her background in social justice and leadership inspires much of her teaching, including integrating service-learning components into her Interpersonal Communication courses. Hailey currently serves as Department Chair of the Communication Department at LBCC.
In her free time, Hailey enjoys caffeine, sleeping, anything outdoors, and wrangling her household of boys (both human and cat forms).
