I am a lifelong Northwesterner, growing up in the Seattle area before moving to Oregon. I got my B.S. in Physics in 2010 at the University of Oregon before working for several years as an Applications Engineer for a small spectroscopy company. I received my Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from Oregon State University in 2019.
I believe learning to use the lenses of science and chemistry can greatly improve our everyday lives. Even for those that will never pursue a career in the sciences, understanding the basic principles can lead to a greater appreciation of the world around us. I am passionate about teaching and a proponent of science outreach programs to bring the joy of chemistry to as many people as possible.
