I enjoy teaching a broad range of classes, including WR 90, WR 115, WR 121, WR 123, WR 227 and WR 240. On my own time, I write creative nonfiction essays. I am interested in the themes of place and what makes us feel like we belong. My first collection of essays was a finalist for the Oregon Book Award.
I am a native New Yorker who transplanted to Oregon over two decades ago. Since arriving, I have become an avid rock climber, snowboarder, and mountain biker. I love any time I can spend on a mountain or in the woods, much to my east coast family's confusion.
I love teaching and look forward to working with you throughout the term. If there is anything I can do to help make your time here a success, don't hesitate to ask.
